1. Choose Your Niche

Before buying a domain, the first step is deciding the niche you want to work in. Your niche could be SEO, blogging, architecture, technology, travel, fitness, or anything you’re passionate about.

Once you’ve finalized your niche, think of a domain name that is:

• Short and easy to remember
• Relevant to your niche
• Easy to spell
• Preferably a .com extension if available

2. Check Domain Availability

After deciding on a name, visit a domain registrar like GoDaddy or Hostinger and search for your desired domain.

If your preferred name is available, you’re good to go. If not, try a few variations until you find one that’s available.

3. Buy the Domain

Once you’ve selected your domain, simply add it to your cart and complete the purchase.

Most domain providers accept multiple payment methods, including:

• UPI
• Credit Card
• Debit Card
• Net Banking

And that’s it—congratulations! 🎉 Your domain is now yours.

4. Domain + Hosting Cost

If you’re starting from scratch, you’ll need both a domain and web hosting.

Generally, the total cost is around ₹2,000 per year, depending on the plan and offers available.

I personally use Hostinger and have been hosting my websites there for the last 4 years. That’s why, in this video, I purchased the domain directly from my Hostinger account.

If you’re looking for a more affordable option, you can contact me via email. I may be able to offer you a discount by hosting your website on my hosting account.

5. Website Builder or WordPress Template?

After purchasing your domain and hosting, you’ll need to build your website.

Hostinger provides an AI Website Builder, which is quick and beginner-friendly.

However, I personally recommend using a ready-made WordPress template instead.

Why?

• More professional design
• Better customization
• Easier SEO optimization
• More flexibility as your website grows

The AI builder is good for basic websites, but it often doesn’t give you exactly what you’re looking for.

6. Save Money with Coupon Codes

Before purchasing, it’s always worth checking for coupon codes online.

Many coupon websites regularly offer discounts that can save you a few hundred rupees.

Unfortunately, while recording this video I couldn’t find a working coupon because I was running out of time. However, I’ve personally used coupon codes in the past and managed to get some good discounts.
